Swingaway™ Lift

Braun offers solutions to personal mobility with the Swing-A-Way Lift. This wheelchair lift features a special rotary design that provides easier access in tight parking situations. Because the wheelchair user enters and exits the lift platform from the side rather than the front, less clearance is needed. Inside the vehicle, the post-mounted design also provides less doorway obstruction and interior interference. The new enhanced Quiet-Ride System eliminates distracting rattling and interior noise while traveling.

The Swing-A-Way Lift is fully automatic for convenience and independent mobility. User-friendly controls are located on the lift for easy access. In addition, a variety of control options are also available to provide the level of convenience you need and desire. You can choose an outside control with color-keyed switches and an internal light for nighttime illumination, and a third station control can also be added for even easier access. For attendant-operated lifts, the hand-held control is another popular choice. An optional remote control system activates door and lift functions for the greatest convenience and independence.

The Swing-A-Way Lift is as versatile as it is convenient. It comes in either front post or rear post models. It fits a wide range of domestic and international vehicles, and the expanding platform can accept a variety of wheelchair sizes. The platform features an 8" high front roll stop barrier that can be reduced in height to accommodate scooters, medical accessories, or other large size chairs.

The double slide tube construction gives the platform increased stability and lifting power. In the unlikely event of power failure, the manual back-up pump, located for easy access and operation, allows you to manually raise and lower the lift.
