Barrier Free Lifts®
provide safe and effective ways to transfer from almost any
position to another.
The Premier Ceiling Mounted Lifts
Powered by strong 24 volt batteries, Barrier Free Lifts® UniLift
models operate from a track which is installed in the ceiling and
offer many advantages over floor models lifts. Tracks for lifts
may be installed directly into the ceiling or wall mounted. In
some cases, free standing frames may be used to accommodate
special needs.

A
variety of slings are available, but the Universal Sling is our
most versatile sling. This Sling is open at the bottom and will
not restrict you. You do not have to be lifted to put on or take
off our open bottom slings. You can be lifted from the tub, floor,
or bed, and lowered into a sitting or lying down position.
Using any lift independently is not recommended if physical and/or
mental condition are subject to change. Independent use should
always be accompanied by back-up systems, such as portable
telephones, emergency call systems and mechanical emergency let
down mechanisms.
UniLifts® come
in a variety of models, with many options. All models come
standard with motorized lifting and lowering, while a caregiver
manually moves the user along the track with amazing ease. Other
models are available that motor both up/down and left/right along
the track.
We also offer a wide range of Barrier Free Lifts® slings to
accommodate the users needs. From our easy to use Toileting slings
to our popular Universal slings, most of our slings are designed
so the user does not have to get up or be lifted when putting the
sling on.
Standard
models can lift up to 400 pounds and heavy duty lifts up to 530
pounds. The dependable 24 volt battery keeps the UNILIFT®
operating even in the event of an electrical power outage.
On a full charge, our C-model lifts can complete 350 lifting
cycles, 12" up and 12" down, using a 350 lb. load.....out
performing any other lift in the industry.
Barrier Free Lifts® also carries a Stretcher Lift for the
individual who is unable to sit up and must be lifted while lying
down. Our Stretcher Lift has two synchronized lifting straps and
is recommended for anyone weighing up to 440 pounds. A Heavy Duty
model is also available.
Features for
ceiling mounted tracking systems include:

Hand Controls for wet environment transfers and use.

tracking systems to meet the caregivers and/or users needs as
well as to accommodate varying ceiling heights and designs, such
as vaulted or cathedral ceilings which may require suspended
track installations.

Our
most popular lift, weighing only 18.5lb, the Portable PC-2 is
designed to be carried from one track to another. Thus, small
sections of track can be installed wherever a lift and transfer is
needed. This design not only renders several rooms or even
buildings accessible, it is cost effective because renovations do
not need to be performed to accommodate one long, continuous
track. As the only lift in the industry that has this feature, the
PC-2 offers operating controls located in two different places.
The lifting/lowering buttons are located on the lift itself as
well as on the wired hand control.
UniLift Safety Features Include:
- Battery
Power, which eliminates the chance of electrical shock and keeps
lift available in case of power outage.
- Charging
Systems which automatically shut off.

- Various,
optional charging mechanisms making the charging process easier
and sometimes making it unnecessary to take the lift out of
service.
- Standard
Emergency Lowering Systems
- Exclusively
installed by trained personnel.
Using any lift
independently is not recommended if physical and/or mental
condition are subject to change. Independent use should always be
accompanied by back-up systems, such as portable telephones,
emergency call systems and mechanical let down mechanisms. |
